I mistakenly already sent an e mail question to innkeeper about this subject. I have a nephew that my wife and I would like to give a bottle of wine to for his birthday, for as many years as he will be old. 30 years. He likes merlot but if their isn't any of that available something else will do. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look for? Also where and what price range? THANK YOU

Hi NewZ echo 1 and welcome to the board. It seems that your relative picked a universally bad year to be born. 1971 was a very poor vintage with the exception of Petrus, the most expensive and finest MERLOT made in the world. Don't know how much you like the feller, but if your love runs in the neighborhood of 12 to 1300 you can find a bottle. Let me know and I'll put you in touch. WW
