- Ashley - 11-19-2002 Last New Year's, I had a wonderful German white wine with my boyfriend. Trouble is, I can't remember what it was called. It was made from Riesling grapes and came in a blue bottle. I think the label was gold or silver with blue. I think it was either a dry or a semi-dry, not really sure. Could someone tell me what this wine might have been or recommend another German white wine from Riesling grapes? Thanks! - hotwine - 11-19-2002 Welcome to the board, Ashley. Unfortunately, your description (blue bottle, German Riesling) fits a score of products. Suggest you look for Schmitt-Sohn wines from the Mosel-Sahr-Ruwer at the Kabinett level. They're available at Sam's Wholesale Clubs for all of about $4.99 per bottle. They're also widely available at large wineshops and liquor stores at slightly higher prices, maybe $5.99. Serve chilled. |
