Hi Mike, and welcome to the Wine Board. We have current, detailed information just waiting for you. Just scroll down to the bottom of the Wine Board. Click on Wine Country Touring. "Go Back" 30 days. There is a 7/15/00 thread entitled "Trip to Napa/Sonoma - Favorite Wineries."

I'd add some other suggestions as well:
Mustard's Grill for dinner (I think it's in Rutherford or Yountville). Chateau Montelena for a visit (north end of Napa, beautiful grounds, good wine). In Sonoma, Wellington has wonderful 100 yr. Vines Zinfandel. Steer clear of the Culinary Institute restaurant.

Hi Mike and welcome to the board. Hope you have tour resevations in hand as you`re going at the heart of harvest. All rooms, restaurants , and wineries will be at max. There are some wonderful restaurants in the Valleys. In upper Napa I love Fred Halperts Brava Terrace, located in St Helena.Terra is a great Dinner spot.Domaine Chandon gives lots of bang for the lunch buck. I also love the new Brannon`s grille in Calistoga on the site of one of my old time fav`s The Silverado in downtowm Calistoga. Don Giovanni is a neat Italian rest in Napa. For great grilled stuff the Live-Fire in Yountville is super(and breakfast at the Diner in Yountville is mandatory. Have fun winoweenie
