- TuscanyJoe - 10-13-2002 Was wondering if anyone had a good red Italian wine. No regional prefernce, price is not important. - Innkeeper - 10-13-2002 Hi Joe and welcome to the Wine Board. Try a Salice Salentino. - Kcwhippet - 10-13-2002 Or....try a Carato by Erik Banti from Tuscany. Very nice blend of Sangiovese and Grenache. - JohnG - 10-14-2002 Lately I've been enjoying Barbera, a medium-body, fruity red with enough earth to make it interesting. Goes great with appetizers and light entrees, and best of all, it's inexpensive. In fact, I recall IK posting that less expensive barberas generally are better than more expensive ones. |
