Hello, I was wondering what would you recommend for someone who would like to try a wine. My wife and I, are interested in tasting a wine, maybe for special occations. I have tried a wine once in high school and was pretty suprised at how "carbonated" it tasted. I thought that wines were fruity and sweet. Been looking around the net and have no really help in selecting a 'first-time trying' wine. I guess I would like something fruity/sweet, because i have no idea what the other "favors" mean (dry, etc)
Thank you for your help!

Hi jbidtah and welcome to the board. The most frequently discussed wines for first-timers that always seem to have a positive result is White Zinfandel. You don't give a clue to your residence, but if you live ANYWHERE in the U.S. of A. you can find this lil' hummer. Good Luck. WW
