I have a bottle of 1975 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. No leeking, label in very good condition (minimal staining) with an Andy Warhol design. Was wondering how valuable this was. Also have a Charles Krug 1974 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon - no clue on this value.

Hi Marshall, and welcome to the Wine Board. The value of wine is primary to you, and they should be drunk soon. Single bottles don't go well at legal auctions, and the auction houses get up to 80% of the going price anyway. If the wine has any retail value, you can find them at www.wine-searcher.com

Innkeeper, Thanks for your prompt response. wine searcher stated that the Chateau Mouton was worth $256. The Andy Warhol aded some significnt value.

Well, I'm not too good at rithmetic, but if Andy added $100 to your bottle, that would net you a total of $70 at auction. I'd rather drink it.

Well I would have to agree with you!

Hi Marshall and add my welcome to the board. To add to IKs' posts, the 74 Krug has probably passed on the the ole' vinegar barrel in the sky. The only 2 74s' I know of that are still living are the Heitz Marthas' and Diamond Creek Volcanic Hill WW
