I have have just opened a bottle of the above which seems a little bit of. I have no knowledge of how old it is but at least 10 years. Is this a good deal as I have just bought it off a friend for £30.00. My friendship is not as solid as this wine. Please advise. It seems to have a musty almost hospital smell to it. Bottled at Gegron - Ropert . The address is from Maisdon-sur-Sevre. There is no date or bin number on the bottle

I'm no expert in this area but Vin de Pays is usually not a particularly distinguished appellation and I don't know that Bretagne has a wide reputation for its wines. I would say probably the wine should have been consumed within one or two years of bottling and poor storage conditions may have damaged it further. I could be wrong. Stay wired in for other opinions.
