i have been looking online for a site with tasting notes that are user-friendly... are indexed/searchable according to various criteria (can't i just review some tasting notes on "dry, white" wines?). most of what i have found is indexed only by region of production and then i just have to surf through long lists of wine names (most of which mean nothing to me); or i find something that hasn't been updated for 3+ years. it seems like i am spending hours and getting nowhere! does anybody know of a site with tasting notes that has more useful search functions (and is up to date)?

Hi Ash_liz, and welcome to the Wine Board. I think you could use our search function with little or no practice. It gives you wines by the type you are interested and the date of the most recent postings. If, for example you entered "dry white wine", you would get 107 responses. However only a handful are dated this year (2007) with several more for 2006.

The search function also gives you the thread the post was on. So, if you were looking for a dry white wine that went with Spanish food, you could click on a recent posting on the Spanish thread.

If you need more details, be sure to ask about them.
