how do u know if u have something of value or just a dinner wine.i come across wines when digging out under houses or in basements,and i want to know where to look

Hi Cazman and welcome to the Wine Board. The ratio of wines retaining or increasing in value to those you might call everyday drinkers is one to several thousand. Even those who started out being premium wines do not live forever. The bottom of the ocean seems to so a better job of preserving wine than basements or floors of basements, so you might want to change where you forage.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is very little chance of finding something valuable doing what you are doing.
