Couldn't think of another forum for this question. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I'm on the final stage of completing a Captain's/Reserve list for the restaurant. This final stage is the physical wine book. I'd like to put maps in the book to help guide people through the regions. I'd like these maps to be in some format where I can add position dots or stickpins or something like that.

It's kind of like when you look something up on mapquest and on the address your looking for, there is a star denoting that spot. I'd like something like that I could put a dot, star, or pin there with a number on it to corespond with the individual wineries. And be able to print this out.

The reason for this: Most people "know" certain wineries. I'm sure you all know which ones I'm talking about. I'm starting to fill in holes with great wines from wineries who are just not so well known. I'd like people to be able to see where these are in relation to the "known" wineries. So if anyone knows of a program or just good maps that I could put in a paint (or another graphics program), please let me know.

I hope I'm not babbling too much and you understand the request.

If anyone has any suggestions for designing a wine book, don't hesitate to let me hear it. In other words, have you ever looked through a wine list and thought "I wish this book had this information".

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,

mark

Oregon has some detailed maps of wine regions in that state. I think the same is true for Napa and Sonoma if you search under something like Silverado Trail or Napa Vinters Association, Sonoma Tourism Office.

Brappy,

Sonoma county has tonnes of stuff. They ahve a visitor's map that is really good and they can be reached at www.SonomaCounty.com or at 1-800-576-6662. I got some great maps and publications from them last time. I can map you some if you need.
