I once visited Italy a few years ago, and on a tour we went to a restaurant where, before we went inside, they served us some blue wine. It tasted like peach and wasn't at all tart, it was very nice. It was some wine special to that region, but unfortuantly I don't remember the name or where exactly it was.

Does anyone else have a clue what it may have been?

I am unaware of any grape wines that are blue.

I don't recall that the blueberry wines I have had were blue either.

So few edible/potable substances in this world are actually blue.

It is possible that you were served a variation on kir, which is creme de cassis mixed with white wine.

Curacao liquor is made in blue.
