I went to my father's house, went into the attic to retrieve 6-7 corks I brought back from france, so I could hopefully get the brand/kind I had back then...unfortunately (a big sad unfortunately) I could only find one. And there is no name on it, only:

"Mis en Bouteille dans nos Chais" 07 99 D

it means bottled in our cellars basically, and all I found out was that the grapes came from elsewhere and is probably not of the same quality as if they were made in the chateux...

I KNOW this is a longshot but I'll post anyway because I'm desperate, does anyone know what kind it could be (I don't know how unique it is to have that on a cork)? there's 9,000 chateaux....without the corks I have no way of knowing, I know that.

and if it helps, I was there 08/99, so I had that cork a month after it was bottled...

Hello Aetre, that is not unique and sorry, but if that's all there is on the cork there's no way of knowing the wine. T
