I am new into the choosing of a good red wine. A family member of mine loves a Merlot made by Burlwood out of California. I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know where I can buy some or can offer another Merlot?

I don't know the Burlwood brand...it may be a private label.

Two bargain priced Merlots which are very tasty are Stone Creek and Stonehedge...both in the $10 range.

A big, knock 'em on their tush style is the new Sterling 1997 (do not accept an earlier vintage...Sterling had been in a slump prior to this wine).

Burlwood is a label by Gallo. Only seen it on premise (restaurants), but I'm not sure if is limited to that.
