I am curious why a pinor noir seems to cost considerably more than a merlot or cab sav blend.
Thanks!

Hi Caroline and welcome to the board. The price differential is primarily due to the difficulty in not only growing the grapes, but also in the vinification which is far more capricious in the Pinot than either Cab or Merlot. A nutshell answer. WW
