I was looking everywhere online to find the price for this Bordeaux. The full name:

Chateau Paillet Labrede
Cotes de Bourg
1999

Anyone?

I don't know that property, but the Cotes de Bourg is in the Bordeaux region. It's one of the Cotes (Cotes de Bordeaux, Cotes de Blaye, etc.). Cotes de Bourg is very near St. Emilion, and the wines are generally heavier on the Merlot percentages than the Cab Sauv.

and the wines are usually inexpensive--in the states mostly from $10 to $15.

kc & foodie: thanks for the information.

kc: sounds good, I prefer Merlot to CS.

foodie: that's even more expensive than the wine I usually drink

plonk,

With the way the Euro is stacking up against the Dollar we are lucky to still afford any European imports...

foodie:

Well, here in Korea the prices are also pretty high compared to the prices in Europe (where I'm from). The worst part is to shop at Carrefour, a french supermarket chain: on some bottles they still have the Euro price tags - but they sell them in Korean Won of course,... so you can see the price difference right away.
