I have recently received a bottle of Cotes De Duras wine from France. I know that Cotes De Duras is just outside Bordeux. The area is known for its white wines. This wine, however, is red.

What type grape can this red wine be?

Hi Avrohom. Welcome to WineBoard. Côtes des Duras can be made in red, white or rosé style (although Côtes des Duras Primeur can only be produced in white or rosé). The red may be made from any or all of the following grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.
