I live and work in the southern part of China. I like to start appreciating wine but don't know how (which wine, etc.) to start?

Our family don't drink wine at home. I usually drink it outside (i.e. business, friends, and with my wife).

I do buy wines (usually red wines) at airport duty free shops but I am confused with the year and the winery region. Anyway I can be educated on these?

Hi Py, and welcome to the Wine Board. If it is possible, get a good book to start. A good one that came out this year is Andrea Immer's "Wine Buying Guide for Everyone." It is available at Amazon. If that is not possible, you may have to settle for sites on the internet. Of course, this one is the best one to start. Another is: www.wineanswers.com
