Dear Sir, I recently went to Aix en Provence. I would like to get some wine from there sent to me. Could you tell me who to place an order with? Please let me know.

Hi Scott, and welcome to the Wine Board. Was there forty years ago and fell in love with them too. They are called Cotes De Provence. There is good news and bad news about them. The good news is you can find them here now. The bad news is that they have been kind of swallowed up by two recent developments. The first was the evolution of Vins De Pays, which are regional French wines, varietally labeled like American wine. The second was the evolution of the Languedoc region as a serious French wine region. The Languedoc includes most of Provence.

What you need to do is go to that part of the wine store or webpage that has "Regional French Wine", and specifically look for Cotes De Provence among what you find there. An online site that has some is www.popswine.com .

IK is right on. Pops Wine and Spirits will do no wrong with you. Before you order from them on the internet, give them a ring and talk to them about your likes and dis-likes.

They will provide you with very good service.
