Welcome to the board, Dspong. "Moselle" is the French spelling for a German wine region on Germany's border with France. The Germans call it "Mosel", so that's the more common spelling. It's named for the Mosel River which flows through that region.

Mosel wine is made from the Riesling grape. Most Mosel wines are labeled "Mosel-Sahr-Ruwer" to encompass grapes grown not only the the Mosel's banks, but also those from the banks of the Sahr and Ruwer, two of the Mosel River's tributaries. Such wines are among the finest white dinner wines in the world in my opinion, great with fish, chicken, turkey and pork.
