I generally stick to white zinfandel cause i know i like them but im interested in finding something in a red wine, but i want something sweet can you help?

I'm somewhat new myself, but many people recommend the Beajoulais. I am starting with the Cabernet Sauvignon. I think the Merlot is TOO red for me right now. But I'm just tired of whites, and the white zin. Good luck! And I'm sure others more experienced will have better/more suggestions for you.

Not many red wines are sweet. Lambrusco is one that often is sweet (and sometimes bubbly) and it is included with Italian wines in grocery stores, etc. Beaujolais ranging from the plain Beaujolais label, to Beaujolais-Village or a specific cru (Moulin-a-Vent, Morgon, Fleurie, Chirouble, etc.) are generally fruity and easy to like.
Some Australian shiraz and California zinfandels are fruity and taste less dry even though they don't have residual sugar. However, the current trend in zinfandels is to use riper grapes with greater alcohol content and lose something of that fresh fruitiness. You might try Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel or Rosemount or Paringa shiraz.
