- encendido27 - 04-07-2005 i'm just confused, i'm not a big wine drinker - Innkeeper - 04-08-2005 Hi Encendido, and welcome to the Wine Board. Almost any red wine can go with fillet steak. We prefer a Red Burgundy (which is made with the Pinot Noir grape) or a Cru Beaujolais such as Moulin-A-Vent (which are made from the Gamay grape). - winoweenie - 04-08-2005 Hi 27 aand add my welcome to the board.Iks' choice is excellent but my personal preference is a nice Cabernet Sauvignon. This probably because I'm an admitted worchester sauce on meat guy.
