Hi all!

I need some help identifying 3 wines that I have in storage that I know NOTHING about. If anyone could give me information on these three, I would really appreciate it (I've already done internet searches but have come up short):

1) Barton & Guestier
1725 Reserve du Fondateur
Bordeaux, 1996

2) Chateauneuf du Pape
Domaine du Pere Caboche
1993

3) Chateau La Commanderie
Cordier (this is at the top of the label)
Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
1994

Also, are these still drinkable or are they getting too old? I also have a 1997 and 1998 MASI Valpolicella - are they too old?

Thanks!

Hi Guiness, and welcome to the Wine Board. They (including the Valis) should be drinkable. The first is a journeyman Bordeaux, mostly cabernet sauvignon. The CDP is a complex wine from the Southern Rhone. The St Emilion is mostly merlot.

Great, thanks for the reply inkeeper. Should I be letting any of those sit longer, or should I start drinking them now before they all turn to vinegar??

Cheers

Drink the Valis first, then the St Em, then the B&G, and then the CDP. Don't waste any time.
