Hi,

I'm looking for a red wine that is non-tanic, very fruity, smooth as possible, a little tart is OK, no bite, not oaky.

Any recommendations please (budget wines preferably)?

Thank you all in advance.

Hi Perfect, and welcome to the Wine Board. Look for a Beaujolais Villages.

also, a Valpolicella might meet your criteria.

Or an Amarone of above mentioned Valpolicella.

Try a red Ausbruch

Dolcetto di Asti - have a sweet nose and a very smooth finish. For some reason it feels that chilled would be make it even better.

If you like Tuscan wines I can suggest Luianico Rosso Toscana, 2003, 100% Sangiovese, 12.5% alcohol, ruby-red color, dry but fruity, medium bodied. It runs about $10.
