I am getting to like sangria wine. On the label it says to chill, yet I know people who swear by drinking it warm. Can you do this? Does a wine need to be chilled just cause is says on the label or is it just preference? Any help would be greattt!

Everything's preference! Personally I would always chill Sangria--it's meant to be refreshing, after all--but if you like it warm, have it warm!

When I had sangria in Spain it was served chilled, sometimes on the rocks in fact. In my experience, I have found that the temperature at which a wine is served tends to affect the flavors that are brought out. Sometimes you get some flavors or a texture at slightly warmer temperatures than when the wine is more chilled. But for most wines, it's probably true that there is an ideal temperature to elicit the most flavor, or at least the flavor that the winemaker intended for you to experience.
However, as Shortwiner said, it's your tongue! Do whatever pleases you!

Sangria is a punch with wine in it. Most, but not all, punches are served in a bowl with ice. Swedish Gloog for one, is a Christmas punch that is served warm.

I have never seen a "Sangria wine", but my husband swears that a Spanish exchange student he knew in high school made the best Sangria. We tried the recipe as he remembered it, but...it's been about 10 years, so I guess his memory dulled - it was horrible. Anyone know of a good Sangria recipe?
