Now that New York has moved towards direct shipping and Michigan appears likely to move the other way (outright ban), those states at least have resolved their apparently contradicting rules (Alcohol versus interstate commerce)

What is happening with the rest of the states that have these rules (such as Massachusetts). I was under the impression that as of their recess, the rules that are in place (allowing within state shipping and banning out of state shipments into MA) would then not be allowed and thus voided. I've heard nothing from these states?

There are at least two pieces of legislation pending that would allow interstate shipping in MA. One was introduced by Susan Pope, a long time friend of our family. She doesn't see why there should be any restriction on shipments, as long as MA collects their tax and ages are VERY strictly checked. Talked to her and she figures MA is already losing a lot of tax money because this is a very wine savvy state and many, many people are getting wine shipped in around the restrictions. NH already allows shipping, with a no cost license, and CT just enacted ligislation to allow it. So, if you have friends in NH or CT, they can receive your wine shipments for you until MA wises up.

Az finally came out of the dark ages and we can now get wine shipped in. As a charter member of " Free The Grapes " I can heartily reccommend membership and participation in this great group. WW
