Should you serve white or red wine with a lasagna dinner?

- Bucko - 02-13-2000

Serve what you enjoy..... to heck with old rules that some think you must adhere to.

Bucko

Lasagne is very forgiving, and Bucko is correct to advise going with your own palate as a matter of course. If you want a simple suggestion at little cost, try Banfi's Centine with it.

I like the following with Lasagna:

Pinto Grigio (White)(I like the Bolla Veneto, or you might try Desto Pinot Grigio del Veneto)
Lambrusco (Red with a light fizz to it -Riunite or Fratelli Cella come to mind)
Valpolicella (Red) (Amarone seems to make the best, Bolla seems to make the most)
