I just received a bottle of Cos d'Estournel. The Vintage is the year 2000. Everything that I have read on this wine says to keep till 2010 or later. Should I follow this advice as I have never had this wine before. Thanks for any advice you can give this wine novice.

Hi Grease and welcome to the board. You have been given excellent advice. Cos is a 2nd growth St. Estephe that traditionally takes 10 even in good years. I intend to taste my 1st bottle in the year mentioned and fully expect that it will need another 5 before this classic bottling becomes civilized. Ww

Thanks for the advice. Now I guess I should find a nice cool, dark place since I do not have a cellar (I am a novice remember) or some other place and remember where I put it.
