I am looking for a specific wine. The only name I know for it is a nickname which I've heard is called "the doctor" does anyone know what this actual wine is called? Please help

Thanks

Hi Angeline and welcome to the board. I'm gonna' take an educated guess on the little info you provided and state the wine you're looking for is a German Reisling produced by Dr. Loosen. If the wine you're looking for is a white wine, then try this good Drs' as he is even slightly more famous than our very-own Dr. Buckner..... but just by a hair. WW

I agree that it is probably a German Riesling but is more likely from Bernkastel. Dr. Hugo Thanisch, a Doctor of Philosophy from the 19th century, gives his name to Bernkasteler Doctor, a famous German wine. For more info on this vineyard go to http://www.chapincellars.com/chapincellars/Germany/Thanisch/thanisch.htm.

Thanks you two, I appreciate the information. I will check out that website as well and see what I come up with.
