I have a couple of questions that I hope someone here can answer. First, we are trying to find a good quality red wine to serve at our wedding. We know that we would like to have a red wine, and that we'd prefer it to be sweet because we don't like dry wines. Beyond that, I don't have a clue as to what a good wine would be. Our price range would be around the $10 per bottle mark.

The other question is, how many people does one bottle of wine serve? If we were planning for 125 people, how many bottles of wine would we need to get?

As for a wine selection, maybe you like sweet red, but your 125 guests might not. Best get someone to look at the menu and then come up with a wine match for it.

For a sit-down dinner, half bottle of a standard 750 ml bottle is ususally enough wine per person. For a buffet, the odds are you will need half again as much wine.
