My brother recently gave the following to me. My questions are; Are they drinkable, do they hold any financial value, and lastly should they be stored longer? thrown away or drunk right away?
1) Reserve St. Martins 1997 Merlot:
2) Sterling Vineyard 1997 Napa Valley Merlot:
3) Earnest and Julio Gallo Reserve White Grenache 1991 (two bottles):
4)Augey 1995 Bordeaux:
5) Glen Ellen Proprietor's Reserve 1997 White Zinfandel:
6)Beringer 1999 White Zinfandel:
7)Beringer 1998 White Zinfandel:
8)Sutter Home 1997 White Zinfandel:
9)Martini & Rossi Asti with ABU00429073 imprinted on a pink sticker marked with DOCG:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi kfarley and welcome to the board. Hate to say this BUT, IMHO, it looke like your Bro was making room in his cellar. With the exception of the Sterling most of these wines were made to be drunk on release. The only way to knopw is open and drink those suckers. WW

I guess that most of them are not even drinkable by this time. They weren't much to begin with.

The merlots should be decent don't you think?

I would also agree that the merlots should be fine except if the storage conditions were bad...I'd even take a bet on the Asti that it's ok. Only way to know is to pop em'. Let us know how they were, they have no value.
