Hello!
I am new to the board and I was wondering about a bottle of wine that I recently aquired. I am pretty sure that it has no value, etc...but I am wondering if it is even drinkable?! I looked it up on a few websites, and I am unable to find any information on it.
It is:
Chanson 1969
Vin De Bourgogne
Pinot Noir St Vincent
Will I die if I open it? <hehe> If anything, It would be fun for me to save and to have...as it is the year that I was born! :-)

Hi Irishmum, and welcome to the Wine Board. You have a journeyman but normally well crafted negotiant Burgundy. Suspect that it may be well over the hill, but you never know until you try. If you are really thirsty, buy a bottle of somethings else you like to have in reserve, and go ahead and pop it. The empty bottle will make just as nice a souvenir as the full one.

As far as my 1969 Pinot Noir...I think that I will just GO FOR IT!

One that is similar to the subject wine and is an everyday favorite of several of us is
Joseph Drouhin, LaForet, Bourgogne Pinot Noir.

I agree with the LaForet Pinot Noir from Drouhin. Its good stuff for the price.
