thank you quijote
I appreciate your comments, and I agree with you somewhat.
I am a person that rationalizes by facts,so far everyone who is answered except wingurugo
didnot come up with any facts. they all wanted me to accept the fact that this wine is not worth anything, fine, but give me the facts, convince me with details like wingurugo, dont be sarcastic like the weenie or the othe guy/gal that ass u me d thst i am child or look at the way I spell, this is not what this board is about!!!!!
now give me some more facts if you can.
I think that if 90 is where the starting point of a good vintage is, then 86 is not that bad.
what do you think?

Diamondsman, I suppose you could do an internet search to find some documented data on weather conditions in the Bordeaux region for 1983.

However, KC and the other respondents here not only know those facts; they've internalized them. Only people who know a lot about wine could respond with the kind of specificity that they have. And perhaps KC's first message (regarding 18 vs. 20 years of possession of the bottle) may seem nitpicky to you, it signals the presence of someone who has a detailed knowledge of wine. In other words, the fact that he and so many others caught that point, demonstrates that they're thinking the way experts should think.

And even though numbers are convenient, a specific description of the kind that KC provided should give you lots of specific data to run with (and verify, if you'd like). After all, 86 degrees in the Grand Canyon in June may look the same on the thermometer as 86 degrees in Orlando in August, but that number 86 doesn't explain everything, does it? It helps to know other data in order to get a feel for conditions. In relationship to your wine question, KC tried to give you such data.
