I am going to a Super Bowl party and would like to take the hostess a nice bottle of wine....not for the party, but just as a hostess gift for her. Not sure which she prefers but I do know that she is a big pasta eater. So if you could make suggestions for red-white etc and a brand? No higher than $20 to $30?

Thanks

Red or white sauce with the pasta?
P.S. Welcome aboard.

Bortoluzzi, Isonzo Del Friuli, Pinot Grigio (white) or Collio Merlot (red). Both wines from this excellent producer in Northeastern Italy are tops in their genre. The white is under $15 and the red is under $20.

If she's a big pasta fan, get her a nice Barbera d'Alba. Lots to choose from in the price range.

Red sauce. You guys are great - responding so quickly and nicely. I believe this is the most respectful message board I have ever witnessed!

Thanks!
