Pairing is where I always need help. I often eat salmon. What goes well with it? I know I can use reds or whites, but I prefer reds. Thanks!

Welcome, biggie. I often eat salmon and like to pair with Pinot Noir, my fav, or a light Chianti, not a Reserva. Check the Italian and Pinot Noir threads for specific recommendations.

Ditto on the pinot noir. The perfect match with salmon, IMHO.

Just smoked/BBQ'ed a 6 lb. fillet last nite. Part is going into the freezer. The stupid teapot is retired, and I'll be opening a Pinot of some sort for lunch. After 3 weeks of abstinence if'n I had one I'd open a 67 Romanee-Conte! WW [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/biggrin.gif[/img]
