- jeanham64 - 12-24-1999 How long can a bottle of Dom Perignon-Vintage 1990 be stored? I am hoping to save it for a special occasion (my 50th wedding anniversay) but was told it would not keep. I have it in a base cabinet, in an air conditioned home. - Jerry D Mead - 12-24-1999 Depends on how long you've already been married. If you just got married...forget it...drink for an upcoming anniversary. If you've already been married for 40-45 years...it will make it easily. I'm sure Tom Stevenson, our resident Champagne expert will give a more precise opinion, based on the specific vintage etc. JDM - tomstevenson - 12-27-1999 Given good storage conditions, the 1990 DP will easily last until 2025, and the truth is that I would not even bother trying to drink it for five years at least (although, atypically, the magnums are already drinking nicely and will age for at least as long). |
