For a party a few weeks ago I chilled a few bottles of white. Everyone only drank red however, and so I have three white wines taking up space in my fridge, which I am in no rush to drink. Is removing them and storing them at room temperature again an option?

I would say not. Drastic temperature changes are generally good for a wine. What wines are they?

OOPS - NOT GOOD! It was late. Thanks Brappy.

A possible edit on that last post may be needed.

Sounds like a reason for another party to me! Maybe a "Rays of Summer" theme, gruyere-fondue . . . no red wines in sight. Invite your neighbors even if you don't like them, and maybe they'll overlook it when you bulldoze your entire backyard for an Olympic-Sized pool! (Don't let the wine go to waste; make it/them office gifts or bow'n'flower them and give them to neighbors)

Hi Hono and welcome to the Wine Board. It would not be a disaster to remove them and cool them again later. Wine reacts more to heat than to cold, although as Coyote states, drastic temperature changes are not recommended. I'd be more concerned about your "room temperature." Hate that term, and much prefer "cellar temperature." If you keep the place where you store wines at 70 degrees F or higher, that will do more damaged than removing them from the fridge.

Hono,
I am more concerned that you don't seem inclined to consume the wines yourself. What's that all about?

I agree with the Foodster. You should be knocking back a bottle every two or three days, at the very least. It's good for you! Body and Soul!

Chug a Lug!

Wow,

I must be over doing it!!!

I consume a bottle every one to two days. (lol)
