Hilton Hotels Catering Director is looking for this wine. I am here to help, only. Spelling is probably wrong but let's give it a shot. Does anyone know this wine or a wine with a "close" spelling/sound? Appreciate any help at all...like where it can be purchased/a retailer/a wholesaler...anything.
ThanX

Hi Norm and welcome to the board. Post more information. What kind of wine (Red , white, etc), Where's it from? Can't think of anything close. WW

I couldn't find anything, anywhere about a wine with those names or other permutations. The only thing that showed up was a reference that a piggin is a leather or wood wine drinking cup from many hundreds of years ago.

Fratelli Pighin are relatively good producers of a broad range of wines in Fruili. They are bases in Pavia di Udine and their e-mail is:

azpighin@tin.it

They have some US distribution but I can't speak for Texas.

Well, that's one variation of the name I didn't try.

If it's ports he/she is looking for it might be Ficklin Vineyards in Madera County, CA near Fresno. See www.ficklin.com.

ThanX, everyone. Botafogo wins the cork.
It was served at The Manor in East Orange, N.J.and its sister restaurant the Highlawn Pavilion. If you're in the area I suggest you stop for lunch or dinner and ask for it.
We all appreciate your input.
