I'm confused I consider myself to be Northern, yet the way Stevebody describes making tea is my way (and the rest of the locals here). PLEANTY of sugar, except I don't add sugar until after I remove the tea bags. 2c's to a gallon of tea, let the tea come to a hard boil, let it seep for about 7 minutes, then strain, add sugar, let cool and add to a glass of ice. If you can see through the tea, it isn't strong enough.
Myabe the problem is from living on the border of the North and South, where Ky, Oh, and WV all connect. People from the South tell us we sound Northern, and people further north tell us we sound Southern.

Me, I just see myself as plain ole Applachian Ohioan.
