One of my Christmas presents this year was a wine and beverage cooler. It has four settings: cold/beer, low/sparkling,rose, medium/white, and high/red.
How do people suggest to best utilize this appliance? In the owner's manual, it suggests beer on the bottom shelf and wine on the top (there are three shelves) if you are planning on using it for both. I wasn't planning on keeping my beer in there, but I had been hoping to store both red and white wines.
Any thoughts?

If you wanted to do both I might stick it on medium and have the whites on the bottom and the reds on the top. Or set it to red and keep same. What you should do is get a little temp gauge from radio shack and see what temps there are in different parts of the cooler. Then we will be able to give you a better answer.

buy a digital meat thermometer. That ways you can use it to gauge the serving temp of your wine, if you're still learning that. The long thin prob will fit down the neck of your open bottle and allow you to test your cooler temp.
