Can someone be so kind as to break down the taste, tannins, fruity- ness,dry-ness over all differences etc. between these two starter reds for me?
Georges Duboeuf Villages and Joeseph Drouhin Laforet Bourgogne Rouge (Pinot Noir)
You guys are great,Thanks in advance,
John

They are not that far apart John. Thou they are from different grapes, Pinot Noir and Gamay, they are both medium bodied, have negligible tannin, and similar price. The Beaujolais Villages will show more fruit, and the Pinot a little more acid. The Pinot will go with a wide variety of foods because of its acidity, while the Beaujolais is mostly a hamburger wine. Why not get one of each?
