Help!!! We brew our own beer but know nothing about wine!! Hubby needs to send wine basket to client. Would like to spend about $100 for a basket with a couple of bottles in it. Any suggestions as to wines that I should include? Thanks!

Can you tell us what type of wines the client enjoys? White or red?

No clue..... I was thinking of maybe one or two of each, if that's appropriate.

Hi SueBee and welcome to the board. Think your best bet is to find ( No city in NJ listed) a good wine merchant in your fair city and rely on his reccomendations. We can help given the parameters, but outside of Kathy no-one else on the board is clarivoyant. Good luck and happy holidays. winoweenie

Suebee, Hello!
I believe the "most likely to impress and please" choice would be one or two bottle(s) of an actual Champagne (French). Beyond that it depends on whether or not you have already bought any other items for the baskets, so let us know. (With the Champagne you can add fancy chocolates, pears, quality nuts, hard cheese.) One very tried and true basket: Bottle of Chianti with pasta, sauce, garlic braid, bread sticks, virgin 1st press olive oil, etc. You could also do a Pinot Grigio with this as your white wine.
Also a Muller Thurgau basket with cans and jars of ingredients for gumbo, (with a receipe) or several Thai food items is very unique theme.
