- PinotEnvy - 02-10-2006 I've been thinking, I wonder how the grapes that make the wines taste as grapes. For example, when I go to the grocery store, they never have merlot grapes on display. Is there an easy way to buy a small amount for the sake of just eating them? Are wine making grapes typicly only grown for the sake of making wine? PE - Thomas - 02-10-2006 To answer your last question, yes. Wine grapes are generally small, filled with pits, too. They are not grown the way large, often waterlogged, table grapes are grown. - PinotEnvy - 02-10-2006 Thanks Foodie. That explains why I've never seen them in the store quite well. |
