My daughter is getting married next month. The wine offered by the reception hall as house wine is Inglenook, Zinfindel, Chardonay and Merlot. I don't care for that Brand and he said he would substitute for another brand and charge according to what he has to pay. They are charging $15 per bottle. I would like to stay close to that range. Is Mondovi a good substitute?

Hi Jreeves, and welcome to the Wine Board. Woodbridge Chardonnay from Mondavi would be a good choice. For the red (in equal quantities) would go with Rosemount Shiraz or another light shiraz from Oz. Surveys have shown that these two wines (chardonnay and light shiraz) have the greatest acceptability amongst the most people. Your caterer should be able to provide both within his markup. Don't forget the bubbly.
