- rosilejr - 02-05-2005 I was at a restaurant in Pensacola, FL last week and was served a wine called S2. I thought I heard the waiter say it was from California (Autralia, maybe)...but it was noisy and I wasn't sure...I forgot to inquire further about it before we left but it was very good and I'd like to try to find some here in Columbus. OH... - Innkeeper - 02-05-2005 Hi Rosile, and welcome to the Wine Board. Might it have come from Colorado? This is what I found: http://www.coloradosprings.com/entertainment/fullStory.jsp?id=2291 - Drew - 02-06-2005 If it was a big, bold red, your wine would be the Australian Marquis-Phillips S2 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is one of their higher end offerings, ($30 to $45 range). Drew - winoweenie - 02-06-2005 Hi Rosilejr and welcome to the board. I'll side with Drewski. The S2 from M-P is a really concentrated wine and one that can be found on most wine lists. WW - wineguruchgo - 02-06-2005 Yes, it is from Down Under and it's a wonderful wine! Very hard to find and it ain't cheap! Worth every sip though. |
