- prospero44 - 08-06-2001 Just found two bottles of Jaboulet-Vercherre chateauneuf-du-Pape (1974) in the back of my liquor cabinet. Any value? Vinegar or ?? What does "Still Red" mean? If it was typical San Juan climate, your guess is most probably right on. Technically, a still red is one that is not carbonated. In usage, still red means red table wine, even though technically uncarbonated red dessert wine is a still red wine too. - Bucko - 08-07-2001 If I remember correctly, 1974 was a horrid vintage year for most of France.
