I was given a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape Chateau Mont-Redon 1987. I have had this bottle for some time and while I do love my California Reds (California) My knowledge of French wines is very limited. Can anyone inform me if this wine is, hopefully still wine? And if so would it be worth much? Thank you so much

If it has been stored properly, it should be fine, if not great. Serve it with grilled lamb chops. Single bottles are hard to move legally, although have heard that e-bay is allowing it again somehow. You might try www.wine-searcher.com to check out currently retail prices. If your vintage doesn't show a match, try other or no vintages to get an idea of the price category of that wine.
