I posted a question 2 times last night on the novice board in an attempt to get some information on two bottles of wine I've been given. (I noticed other similar questions there). Initially, it appeared that the post went through and was listed. But when I checked back an hour or so later, my topic had disappeared. Again, I tried this twice, and the post disappeared twice. Was the question removed, or moved somewhere, for some reason?

In addition, I asked the same question in the Italian Wine forum (the question regards Italian wine), and the post remained--it's still there--and was even responded to.

Did I do sosmething wrong? This is the first question I've asked or responded to on this site. I'm glad I found it and have learned much even in the short time I've been aware of it. Thanks... but what's up?

You only need one post on this board. In your case the Italian tread was the best place and you got your answer there.

Thanks. I'll try not to "overpost" next time. But I will say this: The only reason I even put a post in the Italian forum was because my initial question on the Novice forum was purged before anyone had a chance to respond there. This is a bit confusing because I've seen other similar questions asked and responded to in the Novice forum. Why was it initially removed?

Because you reposted on the Italian thread. Most of time the Novice thread gets the job done. There are two exceptions. There are experts that only reply to the Italian and the Champagne threads. That is why you got the answer on the Italian thread and not on Novice.
