- RAD - 01-11-2001 Jackie, All my light bulbs are lit up, and I haven't deleted any cookies, nor have I cleared my history files or anything like that. I'm using IE 5.0 on Windows 98. What to do? RAD - winoweenie - 01-11-2001 I`d say pay your past due Public Service "turn-off bills" WW - Bucko - 01-12-2001 It would help if you kept coffee out of your keyboard...... I had this happen once. I cleared my cache, wiped out all of my cookies, reset my cookies, and all was well with the world. Bucko - RAD - 01-12-2001 Thanks, I'll give that a whirl. RAD - RAD - 01-12-2001 Cleared cache, deleted all history files and all cookies. Now I have no light bulbs whatsoever. What gives? RAD - Bucko - 01-12-2001 It takes one post to bring up the bulbs again. - Jackie - 01-16-2001 RAD, How are things now? I've been out ill with bronchitis for more than a week. Thanks everyone for jumping in to help. Jackie - RAD - 01-16-2001 Working fine now, thanks! I hope my post isn't what pulled you out of bed! Hope you're feeling better! RAD - Bucko - 01-16-2001 I have treated more bronchitis this past month than I have in years. Hope you are back to your old self soon. Bucko - Jackie - 01-18-2001 Thanks for the well wishes. I'm recovering slowly but this was an awful bout of bronchitis... Temp of 103.4 and a really hard cough. I think it will take me another week or so to get my energy back. Thanks all for taking up the slack.... Cheers, Jackie - mrdutton - 01-28-2001 I cleared my cache, I got rid of all the cookies (am getting larger than normal) and got rid of the history (can't remember what I used to be). Regardless, the light bulbs become more prolific as time passes and the system says that the last time I logged on was 07 January, 2001. Now all the light bulbs are shining brightly. What next? What should I do? - Bucko - 01-28-2001 Don't know..... been having wierd, intermittent problems lately myself, e.g. lightbulbs being on, then disappear after reading the first message. There is a Ghost in the Machine...... Bucko - chittychattykathy - 01-30-2001 I keep needing to log on, so I have no lights half the time. My cookies are fine on other sites, so It's another odd one. - Jackie - 01-30-2001 At the top right of the page, there is a link to "preferences". It might be a good idea to check and make sure you are set to "remember" password in your cookie file for 1 year. (Obviously cookies need to be enabled for that to work.) That may help. Jackie - chittychattykathy - 01-30-2001 Jackie, Have done that several times. Thanks though! It's not really a big deal, certainly keeps me from forgetting my password! |
