How did the "embarrasment" smiley become the default? Wasn't it always the "smiley face" or am I just crazy?

This is wierd. I have made no changes to the system, so it must be the old ghost in the machine phenonomenon.
Darn. I'll try to exorcize the spook and get us back to "normal" whatever that is.
