I am a major novice. I desire to drink a red wine that is sweet, pleasant, not bitter. I am drinking it because I hear it is good for the heart. What kind or kinds should I try? Thank you for helping me. PDD

Welcome to the board. Was this answered on another thread? Lambrusco, an Italian wine, is a sweet red wine. It can range in quality from the mass-produced Reunite which you may find at the grocery store to better quality Lambruscos from other Italian producers. Greece produces some sweet red wines. A knowledgeable wine retailer might be able to recommend some. Among the dry red wines that have a fruity, nonbitter flavor, you might try Beajolais-Village or a cru Beaujolais such as Fleurie or Julienas.
